For club and tee enthusiasts, the Jardin du Loup Blanc mini-golf course offers a fun-filled miniature of the Ile d’Yeu!
Museums-local heritage :
Le Vieux Château: listed as a historic monument since 1900, the Vieux Château is one of the island’s landmarks! A guided tour of this medieval fortress reveals the military architecture of the 14th to 17th centuries and the conditions of life on an island under the Ancien Régime.
La Citadelle: located on the heights of Port-Joinville, it was used in turn as a state prison, barracks and detention center for Marshal Pétain from November 1945 to June 1951.
Musée de la Pêche – Musée du Sauvetage: come and discover the history and evolution of fishing through time, the fishermen, their trade and their lives, as well as the SNSM and its volunteer rescuers.
Port de la Meule: the island’s first natural jewel, Port de la Meule, a cove wedged between two moor-covered cliffs, is a permanent hymn to beauty.
